REDISCOVERING THE TAP

A recent report by the Associated Press says more people are dumping the bottled water habit and going back to their faucets.

The report suggests the economy is part of the reason for the decline, simply because people no longer can afford the luxury. Environmentalists have been trying for years to stop the bottled water craze, because of the impact of the millions of empty bottles dumped in the trash.

This Friday on KUAZ's Arizona Spotlight, Tony Paniagua looks at the impact of the bottled water industry. Tony also did a piece for KUAT-TV's Arizona Illustrated awhile back. Take a look.
