MAYOR IS SOMBER
The economy is so bad these days, even the always-optimistic Tucson Mayor, Bob Walkup, has a hard-time putting a positive spin on the current conditions.
Walkup appeared on KUAT-TV's Arizona Illustrated this week and expressed concern about city revenue, what is sure-to-be declining tourism to our area, no pay raises for government workers and a lot more.
Regardless of what you think about the mayor's politics, his recent demeanor shows these days aren't happy times for many. You can see the interview here.
