HOW OLD ARE YOU?

When you ask people how old they are, you'd probably expect them to know the exact answer. However, that's not the case for most people in Afghanistan.

NPR had a report this morning examining how children in Kabul, Afghanistan will get something previous Afghan generations never got...a birth certificate.

The report says less than 1% of all people residing in Afghanistan have written proof of their births. That sounds strange in this country, where a birth certificate is needed for most important things throughout your lifetime.
