MONSOON IS HERE!
The monsoon officially has arrived by the OLD system of measurement, although it has been on the books since the NEW system began June 15th.
Weekend rain, combined with the high dew point readings puts the start of the rainy season at July 3rd, when the dew points started staying above 54 degrees. That was the old method of determining the start of the season. Beginning this year, The National Weather Service says the monsoon begins on June 15th each year, regardless of actual conditions.
This is also a good time to remind motorists to stay away from running washes, regardless of whether or not they are officially closed.
