AZPM PROGRAMMING NOTE
KUAT6 will air live coverage of the political conventions beginning next week, meaning Arizona Illustrated is going on hiatus beginning Monday, but there's more..

When the show returns September 8 at 6:30 p.m., it will have a new look (HD) and a new format. Here's a snippet of the AZPM news release that just went out to our colleagues in the local media.
“The new Arizona Illustrated will give a fresh perspective on news in Southern Arizona,” said Jack Gibson, Director and General Manager of Arizona Public Media. “We will keep all the best of the existing show – the ‘Friday Roundtable’ and thorough coverage of news of interest to the local community with our ‘In Focus’ segments. The new show will now respond to our viewers with a segment called “Letters” and fresh emphasis on local music, sports, and special video segments from our creative videographers.”
As of this writing, the new set is still being constructed, as are the new graphics and music. Let's hope it all goes according to schedule.
