WHAT DO YOU WANT TO SEE ON IN TUNE?
Local Music is showcased on Arizona Public Media. It’s no secret that Tucson has a vibrant, and diverse music community. Now it also has a home on our local pub-casting station. Check it out and let us know what you like, or dislike, and what you want to see featured in future episodes.

Greetings.
Would like to see a new mariachi group, who call themselves 'Los Quatro Vientos', who are from both Phoenix and the Tucson area.
I have included, in this email, their website and some other information pertaining to Los Quatro Vientos.

Hey Frank thanks for the suggestion. We copped a gander at the links that you sent and it seems like Los Cuatro Vientos have a nice sound going. I particularly like the role that the harp played in their arrangements, and I appreciate the merging of “American” culture with the traditional Mexican Ranchera sound. El Corrido the Pat Tillman, and the commentary on current events that this song represents is really cool.
It’s clear that Mariachi plays an important role in our community, and the plan is to include a good helping of this wonderful music in future episodes of In Tune. Thanks for the suggestion, and we’ll see if we can explore the music of Los Cuatro Vientos.
In the mean time you might want to check this story that we did on Mariachi Aztlan de Pueblo High School. http://ondemand.azpm.org/videoshorts/watch/2009/4/30/kuat-mariachi-conference/?q=mariachi It ran on Arizona Illustrated shortly after the 2009 Mariachi Conference.
